About the Role
Prestigious Homes Limited, a premier luxury-home builder renowned for crafting majestic, eco-friendly residences with superior craftsmanship, is seeking a dedicated QA / QC Officer - Batching Plant to join our dynamic operations. In this vital role, you will uphold our unwavering commitment to excellence by ensuring that every batch of concrete produced meets the highest structural and aesthetic standards required for our luxury developments.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and monitor comprehensive quality assurance and quality control procedures for concrete production and batching plant operations.
- Ensure raw materials including cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures strictly meet approved specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor concrete mix designs, batching accuracy, production processes, and timely delivery to construction sites.
- Conduct and coordinate essential concrete quality tests, including slump tests, cube or cylinder tests, and other relevant site or plant evaluations.
- Maintain meticulous records of material testing, batch production, test results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with approved mix designs, project specifications, method statements, and applicable Nigerian and international construction standards.
- Collaborate effectively with site engineers, laboratory personnel, batching plant operators, consultants, and project management teams.
- Identify potential quality issues promptly and recommend effective corrective and preventive measures.
- Conduct regular thorough inspections of the batching plant, equipment, storage facilities, and overall production processes.
- Support internal and external quality audits while ensuring flawless documentation for comprehensive project quality assurance.
- Possess a B.Sc. or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Materials Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in concrete production, batching plant operations, construction QA/QC, or materials testing.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of concrete technology, mix design, testing procedures, and construction materials.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and reporting skills with keen attention to detail.
- Holding a professional certification or relevant construction quality-control training will be considered a distinct advantage.
