About the Role
Seven Up Bottling Company, a global leader in the beverage industry known for iconic brands like 7UP, is looking for a skilled and dynamic Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will drive complex technical operations, focusing on the repair, maintenance, and optimization of power systems, generators, and plant utilities to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of diesel and gas generators, automatic transfer switches, and air compressors.
- Analyze diverse power sources including gas, diesel, solar, and grid to guarantee optimal power quality for the plant.
- Track, report, and forecast facility fuel and energy consumption on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Perform routine checks on energy transformers, energy meters, RMU, AMF, MLV, and low-voltage distribution components.
- Implement strategic policies to reduce energy consumption, improve fuel efficiency, and ensure adherence to OEM standards.
- Maintain spare parts inventory, manage procurement processes, and support preventive maintenance data collection.
- Develop and mentor maintenance teams through on-the-job training, individual development plans, and targeted coaching.
- Promote process automation, innovation, and adherence to HQSE and GMP standards across all powerhouse operations.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (B.Eng.) or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant hands-on experience with generators, boilers, VAM, and industrial electrical systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in a senior engineering capacity within a beverage bottling or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company.
- Proven expertise in budgeting, cost management, people management, and cross-functional leadership.
- Certification such as CMRP is an added advantage.
