About the Role
UAC Foods Limited, a leading joint venture between UAC of Nigeria PLC and Tiger Brands Limited, is renowned for iconic consumer brands such as Gala Sausage Roll and Funtime Cup Cake. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Maintenance Controller to join our Snacks manufacturing facility in Nigeria, where you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, maximizing equipment reliability, and supporting continuous production.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and supervise shift maintenance engineers to ensure effective execution and smooth shift handovers.
- Direct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for critical processing equipment including mixers, ovens, and packaging lines.
- Collaborate closely with production managers to align maintenance schedules with operational targets.
- Manage maintenance costs, inventory levels for critical spare parts, and adherence to strict budgetary guidelines.
- Ensure full compliance with ISO, NAFDAC, and internal health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Bachelor's degree (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience within an FMCG, food, or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Professional certifications such as COREN, NSE, or CMRP are a distinct advantage.
- Proven expertise in utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Strong leadership, root-cause troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
