About the Role
Industrial and Medical Gases Nigeria Plc (IMG), a sub-Saharan market leader in medical, industrial, and food-grade gases, is recruiting a Maintenance and Engineering Manager to join our Operations Team. This strategic role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence, optimize asset performance, and lead a skilled engineering team across our manufacturing and distribution network.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all maintenance and engineering activities across company operations
- Ensure high asset reliability, equipment uptime, and cost-effective maintenance execution while maintaining strict HSE and quality standards
- Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules, equipment overhauls, and engineering project execution
- Monitor maintenance budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and implement proactive cost-saving initiatives
- Supervise mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers, providing leadership and performance management against established KPIs
- Collaborate cross-functionally to guarantee uninterrupted plant availability and asset integrity
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline
- 8-10 years relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial gases, oil & gas, FMCG, or similar industries
- Minimum 4-5 years in a managerial role supervising technical teams
- Proven expertise in rotating and static equipment, utilities, and plant infrastructure maintenance
- Strong knowledge of HSE compliance, regulatory requirements, and asset management systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in maintenance budgeting, spare parts management, and contractor performance evaluation
- Excellent leadership, project management, and analytical problem-solving abilities
