Machinery Engineer

About the Role

• Perform daily reviews of equipment performance to understand machinery condition and identify potential risks and improvement opportunities.
• Steward activities to meet target machinery reliability, availability, and performance goals for FPSO operations.
• Lead equipment troubleshooting, recovery efforts, and root cause analysis for complex machinery failures.
• Collaborate with partners, regulators, and contractors to coordinate maintenance, repair programs, and reliability initiatives.
• Participate in brownfield verifications, design reviews, constructability reviews, and engineering surveillance (QA/QC).
• Design, review, and continuously improve equipment maintenance and inspection programs.
• Prepare technical documentation for design changes, deviations, and engineering service acquisitions.

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in relevant fields such as Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Marine, Petroleum, or related disciplines.
• Mandatory possession of the NYSC Completion Certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience, with a core focus on machinery and mechanical engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of turbomachinery, machinery controls, vibration analysis, condition monitoring, risk assessment, and reliability investigations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and analytical skills with a proactive approach to learning.
