About the Role

De Santiago Milan Hotel and Suites, a premier luxury hospitality provider known for its exceptional corporate and leisure experiences, is seeking a diligent and experienced Contracts Engineer to join our dynamic commercial team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the pre-award preparation, tendering, negotiation, award, and administration of contracts for works, goods, and services, ensuring our commercial interests are fully protected while championing cost optimization and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end contracting process, including pre-qualification, tender list development, ITT issuance, evaluation, and negotiations.
  • Protect the company's commercial interests through effective contract planning, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with company policies, local regulations, HSE standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive cost optimization and value creation.
  • Utilize procurement systems such as SAP and E-Sourcing tools to maintain accurate, auditable contract and procurement portfolios.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior procurement and contracts personnel.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management, Social Sciences, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 2 years operating specifically as a Contracts Engineer.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial, contractual, legal, and tender management processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with procurement software like SAP.
  • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant professional supply chain or engineering certifications will be an added advantage.
