We are currently looking for a skilled Accountant to join our professional administrative team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will oversee all financial transactions, ensure fiscal compliance, and contribute to the continued growth and success of our esteemed institution by maintaining transparent and accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Handle school fee collections, track outstanding balances, and issue receipts to parents and guardians.
- Process staff payroll, manage statutory deductions, and ensure timely remittance of taxes and pensions to relevant Nigerian authorities.
- Assist school management in budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Maintain orderly financial records and assist internal and external auditors during financial reviews.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and school policies.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the education sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and payroll administration.
- Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, and absolute financial integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with staff and parents.
- Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or ICAN will be an added advantage.
