About the Role
BGE (Nigeria) Solar FZE, a leading enterprise in photovoltaic cell manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to join our dynamic team. This critical role involves managing end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring seamless import of manufacturing equipment and raw materials, and coordinating efficient distribution of finished products across our growing market presence.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage complete import/export logistics operations, including shipping schedules, freight tracking, and port clearance procedures
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clearing agents, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and regulatory authorities including Customs, NEPZA, and Standards Organization
- Prepare, review, and verify all essential logistics documentation including Form M, Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, and Certificates of Origin
- Oversee warehouse inventory management, supervise loading and unloading operations, and optimize inland transport fleet routing
- Monitor shipment timelines proactively, identify bottlenecks, and resolve customs holds or transit delays efficiently
- Monitor logistics expenditures, audit freight invoices, and implement cost-saving initiatives throughout the supply chain
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven expertise in Nigerian customs procedures, port regulations, and Free Zone operations
- Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics/ERP software systems for inventory tracking and reporting
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with detail-oriented approach
- Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to work effectively under pressure
