About the Role
The Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a dynamic and analytical Logistics Officer for Corporate Sales to join our operational headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will monitor, track, and report bulk cement dispatch assets at customer sites and in transit, ensuring seamless collaboration between sales, plant operations, and corporate clients to drive customer satisfaction and supply reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Validate daily dispatch plans for cement delivery to customers and project sites based on geofence and GIT data.
- Monitor shipment progress, truck allocation, and routing to reduce delays and optimize delivery timelines.
- Manage the Electronic Proof of Delivery (EPOD) process and maintain accurate logistics records for invoicing and compliance.
- Monitor stock levels at customer sites utilizing Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) systems to prevent stockouts.
- Track logistics KPIs such as delivery turnaround time, order fulfillment rate, and transport utilization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to minimize logistics costs, fuel consumption, and truck idle time.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 6 years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or sales operations, preferably within the cement or building materials industry.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, Excel, and ERP systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
