About the Role
Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international Catholic organisation dedicated to accompanying, serving, and advocating for refugees and forcibly displaced persons. We operate in 51 countries, providing education, emergency assistance, healthcare, and livelihood support to over 733,400 beneficiaries annually. We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Officer to strengthen our operations in Sokoto State.
Under the supervision of the National Logistics Coordinator, you will facilitate proper project implementation across Isa, Sabon Birni, and Kware LGAs through coordinating staff movements, housing arrangements, and comprehensive supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities- Process compliant procurement of programme supplies, office materials, training resources, and catering services according to JRS Procurement Policy
- Maintain secure records of procurement packages, asset management forms, warehousing documents, and distribution reports
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules and address procurement-related concerns
- Monitor and account for all goods and equipment, maintaining accurate warehousing and inventory records
- Create and maintain Procurement Tracker and supply chain KPI reports for senior management
- Manage fleet operations, including daily staff and supply movements, safety compliance, and driver coordination
- Issue and track assets through the Asset Register, ensuring proper documentation
- Maintain vehicle logbooks, fuel records, and prepare monthly fleet analysis reports
- Ensure adherence to security, safety, and child safeguarding standards
- Support partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and local stakeholders
- Minimum HND or BSc in a relevant field
- At least 3 years' relevant experience in an International Non-Governmental Organisation (INGO)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of donor regulations and requirements
- Experience implementing ECHO projects
- Fluent in English (written and oral) with proficiency in Hausa language
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with effective prioritization
- Proven experience in multicultural and high-pressure environments
