About the Role
Action Against Hunger | ACF Nigeria LTD/GTE, a global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger, works to save the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions. We are currently seeking a dedicated Logistics Officer to join our team in Katsina State, providing critical logistics support to base programs and overseeing daily operational activities to ensure efficient humanitarian service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Support program teams in developing purchase requests, stock release orders, and terms of reference, while supervising field construction and distribution activities.
- Manage the base fleet by developing vehicle schedules, overseeing driver planning, and ensuring proper maintenance communication.
- Ensure the maintenance and follow-up of base facilities, including utilities, minor repairs, and contract management.
- Oversee base ICT resources, resolving user issues, maintaining ICT standards, and managing data backup systems.
- Supervise the base logistics team through effective workload organization, recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Produce comprehensive monthly logistics reports covering fleet management, stock, equipment lists, and contract follow-ups.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in logistics management, ideally within an NGO or humanitarian setting.
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work effectively under pressure in challenging environments.
- Excellent command of both English and Hausa languages.
