About the Role

Dangote Cement Plc, a subsidiary of Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is looking for a skilled LMV/HEMM Maintenance Specialist - Electrical to join our dynamic operations in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the electrical upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of our extensive fleet of light motor vehicles and heavy earth moving machines, driving operational efficiency across our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics to diagnose and repair heavy earth moving machines and light motor vehicles.
  • Plan and execute proactive preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior electrical technicians and mechanics, utilizing advanced diagnostic software.
  • Train subordinate staff to ensure all electrical maintenance tasks are performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in inventory management, spare parts planning, and optimal resource allocation.
  • Maintain exemplary standards of housekeeping within workshop and plant areas.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all company and industry plant safety standards and regulations.
  • Utilize SAP and technical reporting tools to track maintenance activities and vehicle availability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven hands-on experience in electrical maintenance of heavy machinery and vehicles.
  • Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, DC circuits, materials science, and reading technical manuals.
  • Expertise in using diagnostic tools and software to interpret electrical faults, codes, and symbols.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and mathematical skills with innovative capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to draft technical reports.
  • Proficiency in SAP and possession of a valid driver's license.
