About the Role
Concern on Climate Change for the Community Initiative (FOURCi) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Livelihood Project Coordinator to lead our community empowerment and climate-smart resilience initiatives in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe (BAY) states. FOURCi is a dynamic non-profit organization uniting academics, environmentalists, agricultural experts, and community volunteers to safeguard our climate and uplift vulnerable populations. In this critical role, you will spearhead the design, implementation, and management of livelihood and climate-smart agriculture programs, ensuring sustainable economic recovery and improved food security for crisis-affected communities across Northeast Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, execute, and monitor livelihood and climate-smart agriculture projects in alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.
- Facilitate community mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and participatory assessments to identify viable income-generating opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams focusing on WASH, nutrition, and gender-based violence protection to ensure integrated community interventions.
- Conduct regular field visits across the BAY states to supervise project activities, mentor field staff, and ensure quality delivery.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports, impact assessments, and documentation of best practices for internal use and donor compliance.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with local government authorities, community leaders, and international non-governmental organizations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Economics, Development Studies, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in livelihood programming, food security, or community development within the non-profit sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in climate-smart agriculture practices and sustainable economic recovery initiatives.
- Familiarity with the socio-political and humanitarian context of Northeast Nigeria (BAY states) is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, and report writing.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams.
