About the Role
Paradise Palms Lodge & Suites, located in the bustling commercial and residential hub of Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos, is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Lifeguard to join our hospitality team. Situated at Felecia Koleosho Street, our lodge offers a vibrant atmosphere that is highly accessible and close to major corporate offices and lifestyle spots. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe swimming environment, preventing accidents, and delivering prompt emergency response when necessary to ensure the utmost peace of mind for our valued guests.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain constant surveillance of the swimming pool area to ensure the safety of all guests and visitors.
- Enforce pool rules, safety regulations, and lodge policies consistently and politely.
- Respond quickly, professionally, and effectively to any water rescues, accidents, or medical emergencies.
- Administer first aid, CPR, or automated external defibrillator (AED) procedures when required.
- Perform routine chemical checks of the pool water and maintain cleanliness in the surrounding deck area.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazardous conditions, or equipment defects to management immediately.
- Assist guests with inquiries and provide a welcoming, friendly presence around the pool facility.
- Proven professional experience working as a Lifeguard in a hotel, resort, or recreational facility.
- Valid certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED operation.
- Strong swimming proficiency and physical stamina to perform rescues under pressure.
- Excellent observation skills, situational awareness, and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests of all ages.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during high-stress situations.
