Cutix Plc, a renowned leader in the manufacturing and supply of premium electrical, automotive, and solar cables in Nigeria, is seeking a solution-driven Legal Services Officer to join our dynamic corporate team. Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts including supply, distribution, service, lease, NDA, and employment agreements, while maintaining a central contract register.
- Provide clear, practical legal advice to operations, HR, procurement, sales, and finance teams on business, compliance, and regulatory issues.
- Monitor compliance with applicable Nigerian laws and regulations encompassing corporate, commercial, labour, HSE, consumer, and data protection frameworks.
- Manage and coordinate disputes, claims, and litigation in liaison with external counsel, while tracking case status and legal costs.
- Conduct thorough legal research, prepare legal opinions and memos, and support corporate governance tasks such as board documentation, filings, and statutory records maintenance.
- Identify legal exposures, recommend appropriate controls, and support enterprise risk management and internal policy development.
- Possession of an LL.B (Law) degree and BL; must be duly called to the Nigerian Bar.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of post-call experience, preferably gained within the manufacturing, FMCG, or related industrial sectors.
- Strong, demonstrated knowledge of Nigerian commercial, contract, labour, corporate, and regulatory law.
- Exceptional drafting, contract negotiation, dispute management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and modern legal research tools.
