About the Role
Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited is a leading player in Nigeria’s agricultural and poultry value chain, committed to delivering exceptional products and driving sustainable industry growth. We are seeking a competent, commercially minded, and French-speaking Legal Officer to provide robust legal advisory and operational support across our dynamic business units.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely legal advisory to Management on day-to-day commercial operations and strategic business decisions.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage diverse commercial contracts, service agreements, and memoranda of understanding.
- Ensure strict regulatory compliance with Nigerian laws and monitor agricultural, food production, and employment regulations.
- Manage legal risks, corporate governance matters, and liaise with external solicitors regarding dispute resolution and litigation.
- Deliver specialized bilingual support by translating, drafting, and reviewing legal correspondence and commercial documents in both English and French.
- Engage effectively with French-speaking clients, partners, suppliers, and international stakeholders during cross-border transactions.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized institution with a valid BL qualification from the Nigerian Bar.
- 3 to 5 years of post-call legal experience within a corporate, commercial, FMCG, or agricultural environment.
- Mandatory fluency in both French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and regulatory compliance.
