We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified individual to fill the position of Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Microbiology within our vibrant Department of Pharmacy. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering world-class instruction, conducting impactful research, and mentoring students who are destined to become leaders in the global healthcare and pharmaceutical landscapes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Pharmaceutical Microbiology to undergraduate pharmacy students.
- Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and assessment methods in line with regulatory standards and modern educational practices.
- Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic reputation of the university.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and industrial training placements.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to support their holistic development.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university-wide events and accreditation exercises.
- Possess a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Microbiology, or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching at the tertiary level, alongside a strong track record of academic research and publications.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with relevant professional bodies, such as the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN), is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with a strong passion for student success.
