Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Pharmaceutical Microbiology to undergraduate pharmacy students.
  • Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and assessment methods in line with regulatory standards and modern educational practices.
  • Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic reputation of the university.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and industrial training placements.
  • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to support their holistic development.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university-wide events and accreditation exercises.

Qualifications
  • Possess a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Microbiology, or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching at the tertiary level, alongside a strong track record of academic research and publications.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with relevant professional bodies, such as the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN), is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with a strong passion for student success.
  • Proficiency in utilizing modern digital learning management systems and educational technologies.
