About the Role
Premiere Royale International / ICONS Comprehensive College is a prestigious private educational institution located in the serene environment of Ijapo Estate, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. We are committed to academic rigor, character building, and holistic student development. We are currently seeking a compassionate, organized, and vigilant Hostel Mistress to oversee the daily well-being, safety, and discipline of our boarding students, ensuring a conducive home-away-from-home environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise boarding students and maintain strict adherence to hostel rules, routines, and code of conduct.
- Monitor students' personal hygiene, health, cleanliness of living quarters, and dining etiquette.
- Serve as a surrogate parent and mentor, offering emotional support, guidance, and counseling to students.
- Coordinate exeats, visitations, and movement of students in and out of the school premises.
- Collaborate with the school clinic to manage minor health issues and administer first aid when necessary.
- Organize evening prep sessions, recreational activities, and weekend programs for boarders.
- Report maintenance issues, security concerns, or disciplinary matters promptly to school management.
- Minimum of an NCE, OND, or Bachelor's degree in Education, Guidance and Counseling, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a hostel parent, matron, or in a similar pastoral care role within a structured school environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of patience, empathy, emotional intelligence, and integrity.
- Ability to reside within the school premises in Akure, Ondo State.
