We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Lecturer in Pharmaceutical and Pharmaceutical Technology to join our dynamic Department of Pharmacy. In this role, you will deliver engaging lectures, conduct cutting-edge research, and mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals within a rapidly evolving global landscape.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Lecturer, you will be responsible for the following academic and administrative duties:
- Deliver well-structured lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Pharmaceutical and Pharmaceutical Technology.
- Develop, update, and review course curriculum and teaching materials to meet NUC and professional accreditation standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic field placements.
- Conduct impactful research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic reputation of the university.
- Assess student performance through examinations, quizzes, and practical evaluations while providing constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university-wide academic events.
- Mentor students on academic progress, career pathways, and professional ethics in pharmacy practice.
To be considered for this academic position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a relevant Ph.D. or Master's degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- Demonstrated teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution is highly desirable.
- Current registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) or relevant professional body.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse student groups.
- Proficiency in modern digital teaching platforms and learning management systems.
