We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Lecturer in Maternal and Child Nursing to join our dynamic Department of Nursing Science.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Maternal and Child Health Nursing in accordance with the university curriculum.
- Design, update, and evaluate course materials, syllabi, and assessment methods to maintain high academic standards.
- Supervise undergraduate nursing students during clinical postings, research projects, and community health outreaches.
- Conduct impactful research, publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic advancement of the department.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to foster their personal and professional development.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development committees, and university-wide academic events.
- Possess a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Nursing Science with a specific specialization in Maternal and Child Health Nursing or related fields.
- Must be a registered nurse and midwife with a current practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and academic research within a tertiary institution is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
