About the Role
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution renowned for academic excellence and technological advancement, is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to join our Department of Nutrition and Dietetics under the School of Technology. As a Lecturer III, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of future healthcare and nutrition professionals by delivering engaging lectures, conducting impactful research, and participating in departmental activities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive undergraduate lectures and practical training in Nutrition and Dietetics courses.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, lesson plans, and laboratory manuals in line with current industry standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, research assignments, and industrial attachments.
- Engage in active academic research, publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and presenting papers at conferences or seminars.
- Participate in student academic advising, mentoring, and departmental administrative duties.
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders and the wider community to promote nutrition awareness and applied research.
- Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely relevant discipline, accompanied by at least two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Alternatively, a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline, plus at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, alongside two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Applications are also welcomed from serving Assistant Lecturers who have completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service and presented two (2) conference or seminar papers.
