Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to join our esteemed academic community as a Lecturer III in Mathematics within the School of Science. Established in 1947, YABATECH has a rich history of fostering technological and applied science education, bridging the gap between academia and industry. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Mathematics for National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, lesson plans, and course outlines in line with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Design, administer, and grade examinations, tests, and quizzes while providing constructive feedback to students.
- Conduct scholarly research, publish peer-reviewed papers, and actively participate in academic conferences and seminars.
- Provide academic advising, career guidance, and mentorship to undergraduate students.
- Participate in departmental, school, and college-wide committee meetings and administrative duties as assigned.
- A Master’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related relevant discipline, along with at least two (2) presented conference or seminar papers.
- Alternatively, a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in Mathematics, plus a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, and at least two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Serving Assistant Lecturers who have completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service and presented two (2) conference or seminar papers are also eligible to apply.
