Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical studio sessions in Fine and Applied Art Education for undergraduate students.
  • Develop, update, and implement comprehensive course curricula aligned with accredited national academic standards.
  • Supervise undergraduate student research projects, studio portfolios, and teaching practice placements.
  • Conduct high-impact research, publish academic papers in peer-reviewed journals, and actively participate in departmental conferences and seminars.
  • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students across National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) levels.
  • Collaborate with academic colleagues and industry partners to promote innovation and practical entrepreneurship within the arts.
  • Perform administrative duties and college service assignments as delegated by the Head of Department.
Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Fine & Applied Art Education or a closely related relevant discipline, accompanied by at least two (2) published conference or seminar papers.
  • Alternatively, a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline, alongside a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, plus two (2) conference or seminar papers.
  • Serving Assistant Lecturers with at least three (3) years of satisfactory service and two (2) conference or seminar papers are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills suited for tertiary-level education.
