Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution renowned for academic excellence and innovation, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic professional to join our esteemed faculty as a Lecturer III in Fine & Applied Art Education. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical studio sessions in Fine and Applied Art Education for undergraduate students.
- Develop, update, and implement comprehensive course curricula aligned with accredited national academic standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, studio portfolios, and teaching practice placements.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish academic papers in peer-reviewed journals, and actively participate in departmental conferences and seminars.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students across National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) levels.
- Collaborate with academic colleagues and industry partners to promote innovation and practical entrepreneurship within the arts.
- Perform administrative duties and college service assignments as delegated by the Head of Department.
- A Master’s degree in Fine & Applied Art Education or a closely related relevant discipline, accompanied by at least two (2) published conference or seminar papers.
- Alternatively, a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline, alongside a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, plus two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Serving Assistant Lecturers with at least three (3) years of satisfactory service and two (2) conference or seminar papers are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills suited for tertiary-level education.
