About the Role
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to join our esteemed academic community as a Lecturer III in the Department of Fashion Design & Clothing Technology, under the School of Arts, Design and Printing. We are committed to academic excellence, innovative research, and equipping our students with practical skills for the global fashion and manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical workshops, and tutorials in Fashion Design and Clothing Technology to National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources aligned with industry standards.
- Supervise student research projects, industrial training, and practical studio sessions.
- Conduct impactful research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in department meetings, academic committees, and institutional accreditation processes.
- Contribute to community service and foster linkages with commerce and industry partners.
- A Master’s degree in Fashion Design, Clothing Technology, or a closely related relevant discipline, along with at least two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Alternatively, a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline, supported by at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, plus two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Serving Assistant Lecturers who have completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service and presented two (2) conference or seminar papers are also eligible to apply.
