Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic professionals for the position of Lecturer III in the Department of Photography, School of Arts, Design and Printing. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical workshops, and tutorials in photography and allied visual arts to National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content reflecting current industry standards and technological advancements in photography.
- Supervise student projects, research assignments, and practical portfolios.
- Conduct relevant academic and professional research, contributing to peer-reviewed journals and institutional development.
- Participate in department and school meetings, curriculum reviews, and college-wide committee assignments.
- Mentor and advise students on academic progress, career opportunities, and professional ethics in the creative industry.
- A Master’s degree in Photography or a directly relevant discipline from a recognized institution, alongside at least two (2) published conference or seminar papers.
- Alternatively, a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline, combined with at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, plus two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Serving Assistant Lecturers with at least three (3) years of satisfactory service and two (2) conference or seminar papers are also eligible to apply.
