About the Role
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution established in 1947, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to join our academic community as a Lecturer III in the Department of Computer Technology under the School of Technology. With a rich legacy of producing skilled graduates across National Diploma, Higher National Diploma, and degree levels, we are committed to advancing technological education, innovative research, and industrial linkages in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical training, and seminars to undergraduate and diploma students in Computer Technology.
- Develop and update course curricula in alignment with current industry standards and accreditation requirements.
- Supervise student projects, research assignments, and industrial training attachments.
- Contribute actively to departmental research, academic publications, and scholarly conferences.
- Participate in departmental, school, and college-wide committees to support administrative and institutional development.
- Mentor students and provide academic guidance to foster their holistic professional growth.
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a closely related discipline, along with at least two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Alternatively, a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline, backed by at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, plus two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Serving Assistant Lecturers who have completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service and presented two (2) conference or seminar papers are also eligible to apply.
