About the Role
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Lecturer III to join the Department of Chemical Science within the School of Science. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students in Chemical Science.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources in line with National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) standards.
- Conduct high-quality research, publish in peer-reviewed academic journals, and actively participate in departmental seminars and conferences.
- Supervise student final year projects, laboratory assignments, and academic research activities.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to foster holistic development.
- Participate in departmental, school-wide, and college committees, contributing to the administrative and developmental goals of YABATECH.
- A Master's degree in Chemical Science or a closely related discipline, supported by at least two (2) published conference or seminar papers.
- Alternatively, a good Bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline, accompanied by a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, plus two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Serving Assistant Lecturers with at least three (3) years of satisfactory service and two (2) presented conference or seminar papers are also eligible to apply.
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrable passion for tertiary education.
