About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is a prestigious federal university known for academic excellence and impactful research. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Lecturer II to join our Department of Veterinary Medicine within the Faculty of Veterinary Science. In this role, you will contribute to shaping the next generation of veterinary professionals through rigorous teaching, groundbreaking research, and community service.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, and seminars to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Veterinary Pathology.
- Conduct high-impact academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects and participate in postgraduate thesis mentorship.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental administrative duties.
- Engage in community outreach and professional veterinary services aligned with the university's mission.
- Possession of a First Degree with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a relevant PhD.
- A PhD or Master's Degree in Veterinary Pathology or a closely related field.
- For Master's holders, a minimum of three (3) years of tertiary teaching experience is required.
- Evidence of a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed academic publications.
