Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier tertiary institution, is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and academically rigorous professional to join our esteemed faculty as a Lecturer II in Strategic Communication within the School of Liberal Studies. In this vital role, you will contribute to our rich legacy of academic excellence, research innovation, and practical industry linkages, helping to mould students across our diverse accredited programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in Strategic Communication for undergraduate and sub-degree students.
- Design, update, and evaluate course curricula to ensure alignment with modern industry standards and academic benchmarks.
- Conduct impactful academic research, publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals and presenting papers at conferences.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, dissertations, and academic field assignments.
- Provide comprehensive academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Participate actively in departmental, school, and college-wide committees, administrative duties, and community service initiatives.
- A Doctorate degree in Strategic Communication or a closely related relevant discipline, accompanied by at least three (3) conference or seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, supported by three (3) conference/seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
- Serving Lecturer III candidates holding a relevant Master's degree with at least three (3) years of satisfactory service, two (2) conference/seminar papers, and two (2) published journal articles are also eligible to apply.
- Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication abilities, and a proven passion for academic mentorship.
