We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified academic professional to fill the role of Lecturer II within our Faculty of Computing.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Software Engineering and related computing courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Design, update, and implement innovative curriculum content that aligns with current industry standards and NUC guidelines.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and actively contribute to the academic profile of the university.
- Mentor, advise, and supervise students in their academic pursuits, final year projects, and personal development.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, as well as community service initiatives and university events.
- Possession of a PhD Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related computing discipline from a recognized institution.
- At least two (2) years of cognate teaching or research experience at the university level.
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly potential, active research interests, and relevant peer-reviewed publications.
- High level of ICT proficiency with the ability to leverage modern educational technology for effective hybrid or physical teaching.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills, with a commitment to upholding the Christian values and ethics of the university.
- Current professional registration and valid practising licenses where applicable to the computing profession.
