About the Role
The Federal University Lafia is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to join our prestigious institution as a Lecturer II in the Department of Radiography. Established in 2011, our university is committed to expanding access to world-class higher education and fostering groundbreaking research in Nigeria. As a Lecturer II, you will play an instrumental role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals within our growing medical and health sciences programs, located in the vibrant capital of Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Radiography.
- Conduct high-impact academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic fieldworks.
- Participate actively in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and academic administration.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students within the department.
- Contribute to community service initiatives and institutional development programs organized by the university.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Radiography or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Master's degree plus at least two (2) journal publications and a minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at a recognized university level will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and contribute to academic publications.
