About the Role

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, and contributing to the advancement of the built environment department through innovative teaching and scholarly research.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Lecturer II in Quantity Surveying, your daily duties and academic contributions will include:
- Delivering engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical tutorials in Quantity Surveying and related courses.
- Conducting impactful academic research and publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervising undergraduate student projects, research dissertations, and academic field training.
- Assisting in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic accreditation processes.
- Mentoring students to foster both academic success and high moral standards in line with the university's core values.
- Participating in departmental meetings, university committees, and community engagement initiatives.
Applicants must meet the following academic and professional requirements:
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Quantity Surveying or a directly relevant discipline from a reputable university.
- Alternatively, candidates holding a Master's Degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification, full-time teaching experience in a tertiary institution are eligible to apply.
- Demonstrated evidence of academic publications will serve as a significant added advantage.
- Strong digital literacy and proficiency in modern educational technology and discipline-specific software.
- A robust orientation toward academic research, institutional growth, and student mentorship.
