About the Role
The Federal University Lafia invites dynamic and qualified academics to apply for the position of Lecturer II in the Department of Quantity Surveying. As a faculty member, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional undergraduate and postgraduate instruction, contributing to curriculum development, and mentoring the next generation of industry experts within a vibrant academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical tutorials in Quantity Surveying and related built environment courses.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic fieldworks.
- Conduct high-impact academic research and publish findings in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Contribute to curriculum enhancement, accreditation processes, and community development initiatives.
- Mentor and advise students on academic progression, professional ethics, and career opportunities in quantity surveying.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution; OR
- A Master's degree in a relevant field plus a minimum of two (2) journal publications and at least three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at the university level.
