The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a premier federal university founded in 1970, is seeking a qualified and passionate academic professional to fill the position of Lecturer II (Public Relations) within the Department of Communication and Media Studies. Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Public Relations and related communication subjects.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic assignments at various levels.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives as required by the university.
- Mentor students and provide academic counseling to foster holistic student development.
- A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, or a closely related field.
- For candidates with a Master's degree, a minimum of three (3) years of tertiary teaching experience is required, along with a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed publications.
- A First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a Ph.D.
