Federal University Lafia is seeking a dedicated and qualified academic professional to fill the position of Lecturer II in the Department of Public Administration. As a Lecturer II, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate education, mentoring students, and contributing to the advancement of public administration scholarship.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in Public Administration at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and academic committee assignments.
- Engage in community service initiatives and university outreach programs that promote national development.
- Assess and grade student examinations, assignments, and continuous assessments in a timely and fair manner.
- Possess a Ph.D. degree in Public Administration or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Master's degree plus at least two (2) journal publications and a minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at a university level will be considered.
- Demonstrated proficiency in academic research, grant writing, and scholarly publishing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and student-mentoring skills.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
