About the Role
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Lecturer II to join our esteemed Department of Polymer and Textile Technology within the School of Technology. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical training, and tutorials to undergraduate students in Polymer and Textile Technology.
- Design, update, and evaluate curriculum content to align with current industry standards and technological advancements.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise student research projects, industrial attachments, and academic activities.
- Participate in department, school, and college committee meetings as well as community service initiatives.
- Mentor students and provide academic counseling to support their holistic development.
- Doctorate degree in Polymer and Textile Technology or a closely related relevant discipline, alongside three (3) conference/seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, supported by three (3) conference/seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
- Serving Lecturer III candidates holding a Master's degree with at least three (3) years of satisfactory service, two (2) conference/seminar papers, and two (2) published journal articles are also eligible.
