About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Lecturer II to join our Department of Political Science within the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences. Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned undergraduate courses in Political Science and related disciplines using modern pedagogical approaches.
  • Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate student projects and provide comprehensive academic advising and mentorship.
  • Design and prepare comprehensive course materials, syllabi, tests, examinations, and continuous assessments.
  • Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide meetings, committees, and academic activities.

Qualifications
  • A PhD or a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant academic or professional experience in Political Science or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrated evidence of academic research potential and scholarly contributions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and digital tools for modern teaching and research.
  • Possession of a PhD and prior teaching experience in a tertiary institution will be distinct added advantages.
