About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria is a pioneering institution located along the Federal Capital Territory-Abuja corridor in Masaka, Nasarawa State. Approved by the Federal Executive Council and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC), we combine international academic standards with the dynamic needs of the Nigerian economy. We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Lecturer II in Physiology to join our esteemed faculty and contribute to our mission of delivering skill-oriented, quality education.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Physiology to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and assessment methods in line with NUC guidelines.
- Supervise student research projects, laboratory work, and academic progress.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committee works, and university community service initiatives.
- Mentor students and provide academic advising to foster holistic student development.
- Must possess a Ph.D. in Physiology or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Master's degree in a relevant discipline, coupled with a minimum of 3 scholarly journal publications and at least 3 years of teaching experience in a recognized tertiary institution, will be considered.
