About the Role
Federal University Lafia, established in February 2011, is dedicated to expanding access to quality university education in Nigeria. Located in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, the institution boasts modern faculties, a College of Medicine, and comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer II to join our Department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry and contribute to our thriving academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise student research projects, practicals, and academic dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and attract research grants.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry or a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Master's degree plus at least two (2) journal publications and three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at the university level will be considered.
