About the Role
Federal University Lafia is a rapidly growing institution dedicated to academic excellence, innovative research, and community service in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified academic professional to join our Department of Nursing within the College of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students.
- Develop and update course curricula in alignment with current nursing standards and institutional guidelines.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, dissertations, and clinical placements.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committee work.
- Mentor students and provide academic advising to support their professional and personal development.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Nursing or a closely relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution; OR
- A Master's degree in Nursing plus a minimum of two (2) journal publications in recognized academic outlets.
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at the university level.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the academic and research profile of the university.
