Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Microbiology.
  • Conduct high-quality, impactful research and publish findings in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and academic theses.
  • Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
  • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students within the Department of Life Science.

Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. in Microbiology or a closely related field, OR a Master's degree plus a minimum of three (3) years of relevant teaching experience in a tertiary institution.
  • Must possess a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed academic publications in reputable journals.
  • A First Degree (B.Sc.) in Microbiology or a relevant discipline with not below a Second-Class Upper Division.
  • Candidates with a Second-Class Lower Division First Degree must possess a Ph.D. to be eligible.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in modern teaching methodologies and digital learning tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative research skills.
