We are currently recruiting a suitably qualified candidate for the position of Lecturer II in Microbiology to help shape the next generation of scientific leaders.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Lecturer II in Microbiology, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality instruction, conducting impactful research, and mentoring students within our academic community.
- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Microbiology and related biological sciences.
- Design, update, and evaluate course curricula in alignment with NUC guidelines and industry standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, academic assignments, and laboratory activities.
- Conduct cutting-edge academic research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Mentor and advise students on academic progress, career development, and personal growth.
Applicants must meet the academic and professional criteria stipulated by regulatory bodies for university teaching in Nigeria.
- Candidate must possess a Ph.D. degree in Microbiology or a closely related discipline from a reputable and accredited university.
- Alternatively, holders of a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification full-time teaching experience in a tertiary institution are also eligible to apply.
- Strong evidence of academic publications in peer-reviewed journals will serve as a distinct added advantage.
