The Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Lecturer II in Medical Microbiology and Parasitology. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students in Medical Microbiology and Parasitology.
- Design, update, and implement comprehensive course curricula in line with national and international medical education standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, laboratory practicals, and mentor students on academic and career development.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and secure research grants for the department.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings, administrative duties, and community service initiatives.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Medical Microbiology and Parasitology or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of two (2) peer-reviewed journal publications and at least three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at a recognized university level.
