About the Role
Yaba College of Technology, Nigeria's premier higher institution and a leading center for technological education, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Lecturer II to join the Department of Mechanical Engineering within the School of Engineering. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical laboratory sessions, and tutorials for undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources in line with accreditation standards.
- Conduct cutting-edge research in mechanical engineering and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, theses, and industrial training placements.
- Participate in departmental, school, and college-wide committees, academic administration, and community service initiatives.
- Engage in continuous professional development and industry linkages to bridge academic theory with practical engineering applications.
- Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, supported by at least three (3) conference/seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, plus three (3) conference/seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
- Serving Lecturer III candidates holding a Master's degree with at least three (3) years of satisfactory service, two (2) conference/seminar papers, and two (2) published journal articles are also eligible to apply.
