Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dynamic and qualified academic professional to fill the position of Lecturer I in Strategic Communication within the School of Liberal Studies. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in Strategic Communication and related courses to National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students.
- Conduct high-impact academic research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals to contribute to the institution's knowledge base.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, dissertations, and industrial training placements.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and academic committee assignments.
- Mentor students and provide academic counseling to foster holistic development and professional readiness.
- Doctorate degree in Strategic Communication or a relevant discipline, with at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in the relevant discipline with at least six (6) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience.
- Serving Lecturer II candidates must have at least three (3) years of satisfactory service as a Lecturer II.
- Required publication record: At least three (3) conference/seminar papers, three (3) journal articles, and at least one (1) chapter contribution in a standard textbook comprising not less than ten (10) chapters, published within the last four (4) years.
