We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Lecturer II to join our vibrant Department of Mechanical Engineering. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring aspiring engineers, and contributing to cutting-edge research.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Mechanical Engineering undergraduate courses.
- Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and assessment methods aligned with academic standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, academic assignments, and industrial training programs.
- Conduct impactful research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students to support their holistic development.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, committee works, and university community service initiatives.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline from a reputable university.
- Alternatively, candidates holding a Master's degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification, full-time teaching experience at the tertiary level are eligible to apply.
- Strong evidence of academic publications in reputable journals will be a distinct added advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in digital teaching tools, modern instructional technologies, and discipline-specific software.
