About the Role
Federal University Lafia, established in February 2011, is dedicated to increasing access to and quality of university education in Nigeria. Located in the capital of Nasarawa State, the institution boasts a dynamic academic environment encompassing multiple faculties, undergraduate programmes, and postgraduate offerings. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Lecturer II in Mathematics to join our esteemed Department of Mathematics and contribute to our expanding academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Mathematics and related disciplines.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, research, and theses.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committees.
- Mentor students and provide academic guidance to foster their intellectual and professional growth.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives on behalf of the university.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or a highly relevant field from a recognized institution of higher learning.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Master's degree plus at least two (2) journal publications and a minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at the university level will be considered.
