Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Library and Information Science.
- Develop and update course curricula in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and modern information trends.
- Conduct high-quality, impactful academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and academic field placements.
- Provide mentorship and academic guidance to students to support their personal and professional growth.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, meetings, and administrative duties as assigned.
- Possession of a PhD or a Master's degree in Library and Information Science or a closely related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- A strong track record of at least three (3) peer-reviewed publications in recognized academic journals.
- A First Degree (Bachelor's) with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division, or a Second Class Lower Division coupled with a PhD.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern digital library systems, information management technologies, and pedagogical methods.
