About the Role

Lajfort Schools, established in 2010 with a proud history of academic excellence in Ota, Ogun State, is looking for a passionate and qualified Physics Teacher to join our dynamic secondary school team at Lajfort College. In this role, you will inspire senior secondary students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation of physics, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Physics to senior secondary school students using innovative and student-focused methodologies.
  • Prepare comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the approved national curriculum.
  • Deliver clear, engaging, and interactive lessons that simplify complex physical concepts.
  • Assess, record, and evaluate student academic progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for external examinations including WAEC and NECO.
  • Maintain positive classroom discipline and cultivate a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development training, and school co-curricular activities.
  • Provide academic mentoring and support to nurture students' intellectual growth.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Physics, Engineering, or a related field combined with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
  • Proven ability to teach Physics effectively at the secondary school level is mandatory.
  • Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification will be an added advantage.
  • 1 to 3 years of cognate secondary school teaching experience.
  • Exceptional subject mastery, strong communication, and robust classroom management skills.
  • Proficiency in basic ICT and familiarity with modern digital teaching tools.
