Hampos Academy is a esteemed private, secular nursery and primary school located in the serene Apo Resettlement area of Abuja, Nigeria. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our dynamic academic team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Class Teacher with daily classroom instruction, lesson delivery, and engaging activities.
- Provide individualized and group support to pupils during learning sessions.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain teaching aids and classroom materials.
- Supervise students effectively during recess, transition periods, and extracurricular school routines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
- Assist with grading classwork, homework, and routine assessments under the guidance of the lead teacher.
- Monitor student participation, behavior, and overall wellbeing, reporting observations to the Class Teacher.
- Uphold school policies and support extracurricular events, projects, and clubs.
- Minimum of an NCE, OND, or relevant qualification in Education or a related discipline.
- Prior experience working with young children in a formal educational setting is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
